Queensland Health Payroll System Commission of Inquiry

The Honourable Richard Chesterman AO RFD QC opened the Queensland Health Payroll System Commission of Inquiry on 1 February 2013.

Commissioner Chesterman explained the purpose of the inquiry was "to determine why such large amounts of money have been lost to the public, whether anything might be recovered; and why such distress was inflicted on the Queensland Health workforce."

After submissions and extensive public hearings the Commissioner's report was handed to the Queensland Premier on 31 July 2013.

Commission Update

The Health Payroll System Commission of Inquiry concluded on Wednesday 31st July with the Inquiry's report presented to the Premier. Any further inquiries can be directed to the Department of Justice and Attorney-General on (07) 3239 3520 or via email at healthpayrollinquiry@justice.qld.gov.au.
